Packing Supplies for a Budget Move

Packing supplies are essential when it comes to moving, but what kinds of packing supplies do you really need? I moved to a new apartment a few months ago and again I faced the problem of finding the right packing supplies. If you’re a student or don’t have a job, you may understand the situation I was in as I have to move my items for three days and I didn’t have money to purchase moving boxes or bubble wrap. So I had no choice but to be creative and use different items for packing supplies.

Rubbish Bag

If you don’t have any boxes and you have no friends that give you some, rubbish bags do great job. I didn’t have any boxes, so I took several bags and place all my clothes inside. Of course, they wrinkle, but I have an iron. Not only rubbish bags are easier for loading, but they are also much cheaper than moving boxes.

Sacks

Ask all your friends whether they can lend you their sacks. I had 3 sacks and did great job. Just make sure that you don’t overload them, because they can tear.

Old Newspapers

If you have some boxes, and have electronics to pack, make sure that they are packed properly.

One of the main packing rules is no space in boxes containing breakables or electronics according to most house removals Adelaide. So get several old newspapers and use them as bubble wrap. Not only you’ll save money, but you’ll have your breakables and electronics safety packed.

Removal Company

There are many removal companies that would be glad to help you move your home, but you have to pay them. If you’re on a really tight budget as I was, you’d better ask a friend of yours that has a car to help you. If you’re moving in another area of the city and have a few bags and boxes to move, then your friend can be your ‘Adelaide Removalists’.

It isn’t necessary to have a lot of money to move successfully, just be creative and never desperate.
